O.K. today is the day – I am going to start a diet. OOPS! Strike that. I am going to make life style changes so that I don’t break a sweat trying to get out of the bed each morning.
Why would I choose this public forum to make those changes? I know there are countless numbers of other blogs on this very topic, but for everyone looking to make a few changes that will improve the quality of life, join me and let’s do this together.
I am a 37 year old married mother of a 12 year old and a 2 year old. I know. WOW! Big difference in ages. My mom says I must have lost quiet a few brain cells to have children so far apart. I am a full time teacher. I also teach a class ever Wednesday night at church. Oh yea, did I forget to mention that my 12 year old plays on a competitive fast pitch softball team. There are tournaments 3 to 4 weekends a month 8 months out of the year and training indoors the other 4 months.
I tell you this to introduce myself and to let you know that I am your everyday Joe with an extremely busy life. I don’t have time to count calories or points or carbs. I do not represent any particular approach or plan. I have tried them all and have had some success with all, but because I can not maintain the programs with my tight schedule, I have always gained my weight back. Thus, my decision to make simple, easy, realistic life style changes.
I believe I can learn from you and you can learn from me and I hope we can do this together. Let me know why you want to lose weight or change a bad habit or get healthy.
